I am a Biomedical Engineering student at The University of Texas at Dallas. I have tutored students K-10 in various grade level mathematics subjects at the Mathnasium Learning Center and have experience teaching small groups and one-on-one students. I have also worked as an assistant for SAT prep classes, particularly the English/Reading sections. In all my tutoring, I like to utilize the Socratic Method, helping students come to realizations themselves, emphasizing the use of critical thinking skills and how important it is to understand concepts thoroughly over just memorizing formulas. I am passionate about helping students actually learn the materials they are given rather than just drilling answers into their head, as it is more effective if they ever need to use any skills they learn in the future.
