I graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in the Anthropology of Global Health. I tutor students in a wide range of subjects, including SAT Reading/Writing/Math, ACT (all sections), and over a dozen AP and IB courses such as AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, AP French, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, and IB Math.
My teaching journey began in high school when I tutored peers in math, biology, physics, and French. I also worked at Mathnasium, where I taught elementary and middle school math, along with high school-level courses such as Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. At C2 Education, I expanded my experience further, helping students prepare for standardized tests, succeed in AP/IB coursework, and navigate the college admissions process including essay writing and extracurricular planning.
I take a personalized, goal-driven approach to instruction. Each session starts by identifying the student's learning style and areas for growth. I create custom practice sets, review homework for accuracy, and prepare students for quizzes, exams, and standardized tests. I also mentor students on college and career pathways, drawing on my own experiences and those of peers pursuing medicine, law, and economics.
Having completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program myself, I understand the academic pressure students face and help them develop both mastery and confidence. Raised in a Ghanaian-American household that deeply values education, I was taught that the sky is not the limit, it's just the beginning. I bring that same belief into every session.
