As a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, I have dedicated over five years to teaching and tutoring in elementary classrooms, currently serving as a 5th-grade teacher. My passion lies in math, where I excelled throughout my education, and I take pride in helping students overcome their struggles with mathematical concepts. I believe in building strong relationships with my students, understanding their unique learning styles, and tailoring my instruction to meet their needs. This approach has led to remarkable advancements in their academic success, particularly in preparing for standardized tests. I enjoy employing various teaching strategies, such as the area model for multiplication, to make learning engaging and accessible. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy crafting, watching movies, and spending time at the beach, which allows me to recharge and bring my best self to my students.
