I am a current undergraduate at Tufts University. I am intending to double major in Biopsychology and Film and Media studies, as well as minor in French. I have experience tutoring Math and English at an elementary school level. As a former camp counselor I love working with children as their enthusiasm translates into my own enthusiasm. I also enjoy working with children as you are able to experience the world through their eyes. While I can tutor Elementary English and Math, I have both the most experience with Math and am the most passionate about teaching math. As someone who enjoys structure and familiarity, math is the most exciting subject to teach as I love to focus on formulas. Once a student understands the formula for a certain concept, they are equipped with a strong foundation to allow for further exploration. I am someone who truly believes in the value in making mistakes. The best way for a student to grow is by reviewing the mistakes they made and learning from them. I like to think of mistakes more as tools than setbacks as they allow me to identify where the student is confused and pivot from there. Outside of tutoring, I love to read, take photographs of my friends, play guitar, and watch movies.
