I earned my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Colorado State University and am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at the same institution. Over the past decade, I've worked in a variety of microbiology laboratories with a focus on food safety and public health, gaining hands-on experience that I enjoy bringing into my tutoring sessions.
While I've always loved math and science, it wasn't until college that I truly discovered my passion for the biological sciences. I aim to share that excitement with students by helping them grasp complex material in a way that makes it approachable and engaging. I believe that anyone can be a scientistand I'd love to help you find your own passion for learning.
Throughout high school and my undergraduate studies, I tutored students in life sciences, English, Latin, and algebra. My favorite subject to tutor is microbiology, as it aligns with my professional focus, but I enjoy teaching all areas of science and helping students build confidence across disciplines.
Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time with my family and my cats, as well as working on hobbies like crocheting, solving jigsaw puzzles, and reading. I bring patience, enthusiasm, and a flexible teaching style to every session, with the goal of helping each student achieve lasting success.
