I am an undergraduate student at Brown University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Public Health. I have over two years of experience tutoring students from elementary school to high school, and enjoy tutoring because it gives me the chance to connect with my students and craft an individualized learning experience for them. I love working with elementary and middle school students as we build fundamental skills in subjects like math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, and with these younger students, I prioritize making learning fun and engaging in my lessons. For high school students, I tutor in core classes such as English, Biology, Spanish, US History, Government, World History, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. I am passionate about helping high school students dive into their social studies and English interests through AP courses, so I offer tutoring in AP US History, AP US Government, AP Comparative Government, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP English Language, and AP English Literature. Finally, I greatly enjoy helping students navigate the complex college admissions process through SAT tutoring, test preparation, and college essay writing sessions. My own experience with the college process showed me how daunting SAT prep can seem and how difficult it is to begin writing college essays, so I hope to make this a much smoother process for my students. As a tutor, I strive to foster a supportive learning environment that takes the stress off of education, keeps students engaged, and allows them to thrive in their classes and on exams through a mix of instruction and interactive practice. In my free time, I enjoy baking, photography, and crochet.
