I am a current graduate student at George Washington University pursuing a Master's in Public Policy with a concentration in Gender Studies. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2022 with a double major in Political Science, International Relations concentration, and African American Studies and a minor in Gender Studies. Following undergraduate graduation I worked in a middle school as a reading support tutor assisting students along their literacy journey. I work with students across different grade levels and abilities. I believe that all my students are capable of learning and accomplishing their goals, if only they had someone to believe in them when they don't believe in themselves. My goal is always to provide my students with the confidence to make mistakes, learn, and trust their capabilities. That being said, building trust and a dynamic of mutual respect with my students if of the upmost importance to me. Education has the potential to open endless doors for our young people and scholars being able to think critically, engage with the material, and challenge the status quo lights the path for our future. My favorite subjects to tutor are English, Social Studies, Government. I also love helping students with essay writing as they find their voice across different genres.
