I am a Florida Certified Teacher. I am a proud graduate of Florida Atlantic University, with my Bachelor's degree in Early Care and Education. I have taught first grade at a Title One school for the past three years. I have worked with a diverse group of English Language Learners, as well as students with special needs (ESE). I am passionate about helping struggling readers. I have tackled the challenge of filling the educational gaps of students who are behind grade level expectations. I focus on individual goal setting for students, in order to encourage personal and academic growth. My favorite subject to teach is anything English Language Arts (ELA). I most enjoy phonics, phonological awareness, and reading comprehension. One of the most gratifying experiences is seeing a student have their "light bulb" moment. Their light is turned on, they are confident and ready to learn.
