Beyond my professional work, I find deep fulfillment in activities that nourish both body and soul while strengthening my connection to community. Hiking is where I truly come alive. On the trail, surrounded by nature's beauty and challenge, I discover my most authentic self. There's something about the rhythm of footsteps on earth, the fresh air filling my lungs, and the quiet moments of reflection that hiking provides that centers me and reminds me what matters most. These outdoor adventures not only fuel my passion for physical fitness but also provide the mental clarity and renewed energy I bring to all aspects of my life. My commitment to wellness extends into the kitchen, where I find joy in both cooking and baking. There's an art to creating nourishing meals and treats that bring people together, and I love experimenting with new recipes and techniques. The kitchen has become a place of creativity and meditation for me, where I can slow down and create something meaningful with my hands. For over 13 years, I have been proud to volunteer with Food and Friends, an organization close to my heart. This long-term commitment reflects my deep belief in volunteerism and the importance of being of service to others. Whether it's preparing meals, coordinating deliveries, or simply lending a helping hand wherever needed, this work reminds me daily that we are all interconnected and that small acts of service can have profound impacts on our community. These interests aren't separate from who I am as a communicator and educator – they inform and enrich my work. The perseverance I've learned on challenging hikes, the patience developed through years of cooking, and the empathy cultivated through service all contribute to my ability to connect with and support the people I teach and coach.
