As a woman who has always had her head in the clouds, but also lived and breathed science, I initially found it hard to focus on subjects I was passionate about. Overtime, I understood what works for me and discovered study strategies that helped me thrive and reinvigorated my love for biological science! I soon realized that my experience was not unique. While pursuing my BS in biology, I mentored fellow students as a tutor, and later, as a teaching assistant during my MS in Molecular Science and Nanotechnology. I have supported students in subjects such as cell biology, human anatomy and physiology, introductory microbiology, and molecular biology. Also, I have helped students with scientific writing and lab report formatting. These experiences showed me how impactful it is helping others navigate these areas of study. This is something I intend to continue throughout my doctoral journey.
