I love helping people! Since I have a knack for understanding people and love learning, teaching and tutoring is the best place for me! I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kansas and Master of Science in Secondary Education from Saint Joseph's University. My student teaching was with a Freshman AP English class. I have been working in higher education (college age) for the last 10 years. I also have a lot of experience with adult learners.

I tutor mainly in literature and writing. I have a lot of experience with writing tutoring and helping students improve all types of writing, including resumes and essays. In addition to writing types, I also can help with grammar and mechanics as well as flow and formatting. Writing and literature are great subjects for me to tutor because I love reading, writing, literature, and the English language.

I believe that every student has the ability to understand a topic and work to learn and improve. This may mean asking different questions to see how the student learns or trying to rephrase work to make it easier for the student to understand. Everyone can achieve their goals; it sometimes just requires looking at it all from a different angle.

I enjoy reading, board games, video games, and crocheting. Creating helps me feel fulfilled, so crafting and crochet is something that I enjoy doing as much as possible.
