I did my BA (Hons) in Psychology from York University. My background in psychology has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding behavior, motivation, and learning processes. I have worked as a Behavior Therapist for the last three years, doing 1:1 sessions, leading groups, and teaching academic skills. I also support learners in developing essential life skills and managing emotions, especially children who benefit from a structured approach.
Creating a secure, enjoyable, and encouraging environment where students feel free to make errors and learn from them is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I think that when ideas are presented in a way that is relatable, practical, and imaginative, they become simpler to comprehend. Since every student learns differently, I design my lessons to be engaging and relevant to their unique interests and learning objectives.
I like to read, experiment with educational resources, and do creative activities outside of tutoring, which I frequently incorporate into my sessions to add some dynamism to the learning process. Helping students flourish is more than just my work; it's something I truly love and am very passionate about.
