With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Penn State, I bring both research expertise and real-world classroom experience to my tutoring. I specialize in helping students develop personalized learning strategies, whether we're working on math, reading, or study skills. With experience as a classroom teacher, academic coach, and college instructor, I'm especially skilled in supporting students with study skills, executive functioning, and academic motivation. I also have a deep love of math and enjoy helping students break down tricky concepts into simple, manageable steps. In addition to academic coaching and math support, I'm passionate about readingboth as a tutor and as a lifelong reader myself. I typically read over 100 books a year, and I love helping students discover joy and confidence in their own reading journeys. Whether it's decoding text, understanding word meaning, or finding the right book to spark interest, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every session.
