I am currently in the final semester of my Honour's Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology, with a strong focus on anatomy, physiology, reproduction, and genetics. My academic journey has been shaped by a deep curiosity about the biological sciences and a passion for understanding how biological systems work, particularly in performance and production animals. This same curiosity fuels my desire to help others succeed in their scientific studies.

I've worked extensively in peer-supported learning groups and serve as an executive member of a student mentorship society on campus. In that role, I help create spaces where students from diverse academic backgrounds can collaborate, ask questions, and build confidence in their learning. These experiences have shown me just how powerful peer-to-peer education can be, and I'm excited to bring that energy and commitment to one-on-one tutoring.

I tutor a variety of subjects, including AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, and Middle School to College-level Science. My favorite topics to tutor are anatomy, physiology, and genetics, not just because of my academic interest in these areas, but because they offer students a chance to see how science connects to real-world systems, health, and animal or human care.

My tutoring style is patient and conversational. I believe that open dialogue about difficult topics creates the most effective learning environment. I strive to meet students at their level of understanding, using visual aids and tailoring my explanations to suit different learning styles. My goal is to build understanding through active engagement, not just memorization.

Outside of academics, I spend much of my time outdoors or with animals. I find that staying active keeps me grounded and focused in both life and learning.

Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors; running, hiking, fishing and camping are a few of my favorite ways to recharge. I also enjoy spending time with animals, whether volunteering pr working in a clinic setting, or simply being around them in day-to-day life. I spend a lot of my free time with racehorses, both on and off the track. Having a balance between academic focus and personal interests is important to me, and I find that staying engaged in different environments helps me bring energy and perspective to everything I do
