I am a patient and thoughtful educator with over 15 years of experience. As a lifelong learner, my enthusiasm for education shines through and helps my students find and grow their own love of learning!

In my experience as a tutor and educator, I've worked with students of all ages from preschool to adulthood, but have the most experience with children in grades K-8. I've taught all elementary school subjects, and specialize in English, writing, filmmaking, and environmental education. And as an academic manager, I've helped students develop effective executive functioning skills.

I'm also a professional writer and most recently led the editorial efforts at a global education nonprofit. I received my MFA in writing from the American Film Institute Conservatory (consistently rated as one of the top 3 film schools in the U.S.) where I received a comprehensive education on writing and storytelling from Academy Award-winning filmmakers and industry experts.

As an environmental educator, I've led educational programs at nature centers in Atlanta and throughout Chicagoland. I am a Certified Master Naturalist through the Forest Preserves of Cook County and the University of Illinois and a Certified Pollinator Steward through Pollinator Partnership, the largest nonprofit in the world dedicated to the protection and promotion of pollinators in their ecosystems. I am also a graduate of the National SEED Project (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity).
