I am passionate about helping students because I want them to have confidence in their strengths. My experience working with students began as a substitute teacher for middle and high school, which led me to pursue certification for those age groups. I graduated from Tarleton State University at the Midlothian location with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and I am working toward a Master's in Counseling with a specialization in Career Counseling. I tutor subjects such as Psychology, ESL/ELL, Spanish (multiple levels), and TExES exams. My favorite subjects to tutor are Academic Coaching for students working on positive academic habits, ESL/ELL, as I enjoy helping first-generation college students understand language and the diverse experiences in the U.S., and TExES, as I want to assist future teachers in understanding the expectations of teaching. My teaching philosophy focuses on connecting lessons to real-life scenarios, helping students relate to the material. My tutoring style involves identifying areas of difficulty and offering three different study tips tailored to each topic, building students' confidence and skills step by step.
