I am a journalism student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also minoring in Spanish. My passion for teaching comes from a lifelong desire to help others and leave a positive impact wherever I go. As the eldest of three siblings, I've always felt a responsibility to guide and support those around me, whether it was helping my younger brothers with schoolwork or being the "mom" of my friend groups. This natural instinct to care for others inspires me to help students grow in their confidence and abilities.

I tutor Spanish and Essay-Editing, two subjects that blend communication, creativity, and critical thinking. With years of experience studying Spanish, including a semester abroad in Sevilla and volunteer work as an English tutor for Spanish-speaking children in both Spain and Nicaragua, I love helping students develop language skills and cultural understanding. As an experienced writer and editor, I also enjoy guiding students through the process of crafting clear, thoughtful essays, whether for class assignments or college applications.

In my tutoring, I emphasize personalized learning, making sure each student feels supported while developing the tools they need to succeed independently. I strive to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and exploring new ideas.

Outside of academics, I enjoy hiking, camping, making music, watching great TV shows, and traveling to new places. These experiences, combined with my academic background and teaching experience, allow me to connect with students and help them achieve their goals. And above all else, I simply hope to spread my love of learning.
