I'm deeply passionate about teaching students subjects in which I find my own deep passion and calling, and I'm extremely privileged and gratified to be able to impart my own knowledge onto a student in need so they can succeed in their own goals, academic and beyond. I received my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at the University of Florida and my Master of Fine Arts degree in Documentary Media at Northwestern University. I've worked with students in a variety of capacities throughout my career, first tutoring college students as a Writing Tutor at a community college academic success center, and then tutoring middle school to high school-aged students in English language arts/writing and journalistic writing as a private tutor. I've also been a Teaching Assistant while I was a graduate student at Northwestern University, teaching undergraduate students visual media arts and production, as well as a Graduate Assistant, connecting undergraduate students with the tools, resources, and community they need to succeed at Northwestern. My favorite subjects to teach are English language arts/writing, journalism, and visual arts. Outside of academia, I'm a filmmaker who makes documentary projects.
