I am a recent graduate of Colby College and I will be starting a PhD in biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. At Colby, I was an applied math major with minors in data science and physics. By invitation of the Colby math department, I repeatedly served as a teaching assistant or tutor for a wide variety of classes -- everything from Calculus with Precalculus to Linear Algebra and Mathematical Reasoning (proof construction). I also volunteered twice weekly in a 5th grade math classroom as an assistant teacher.

In addition to math and statistics, I have taken a variety of computer science courses. I am most skilled in Python and R-Studio. I would be happy to tutor for math, statistics, or computer science.

As evidenced by my repeated positions in the math department, I love tutoring and take great pleasure in getting to know students and seeing their progression over time. I like to treat tutoring as a type of puzzle -- I need to find the most effective method to get the information from my head into student's head, and sometimes doing so requires various different techniques.

In my spare time, I am a huge baseball fan (hence the love of statistics) and also love to ski and play tennis.
