I am a graduate of East Texas State University where I received a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. I returned to school at Texas A&M Commerce, while I was teaching 6th grade math at a Title 1 campus, to get a Master of Education Degree. Since graduation, I traveled extensively working as an educational consultant, This gave me the chance to work with Common Core standards and the TEKS. I enjoyed this work, but missed the work done in a public school district. In 2014, I returned to a Title 1 District to serve as a math coach at a campus. This job allowed me to tutor K-6 grade math students! It was great! I eventually moved to another district where I am currently serving as the Director of Mathematics. I work with math everyday and want it to be every student's favorite subject. Math is fun! It's a puzzle waiting to be solved and something you will use everyday of your life! I look forward to meeting my future students and sharing my love and understanding of math with them!
