I have not always been a good student. I was always learning and wanted to gain more knowledge, but I struggled with traditional school expectations. I do have my doctorate now, and I feel I can help students continue their journey toward reaching their goals. I want to make sure students know that school doesn't have to be hard. I want my students to know that attitude and effort win over smarts. Many students need a mentor, someone other than their parent guiding them along. I have strived to be that for many of my former students. Study skills, organization and confidence I believe hold many students back from reaching their goals. I have learned ways to beat those roadblocks. It is my goal to share this knowledge with my students. It is through connection we can work together and make progress together. If I can achieve my goal, anyone can!

As a science educator, I enjoy anything relating to research and discovery. I spend a lot of time traveling, and learning about new places. I keep a list, and cross off the ones I get to see. I have two french bulldogs, and they are also very engaging. I spend time reading, and like to be at home. Kind of boring, but I like to learn.
