Having been a Supply Chain expert for almost 20 years with world class leaders in their industries, such as Honda of America, RBC Bearings, Inc., and ABB, Inc., I am passionate about using that experience to help others gain the skills and confidence to meet their goals in completing their education or winning in the workforce.
As a mother of three, I have also spent many years tutoring my own children, other students in K-12, and college and university students as well. I completed my degree work as an adult so I had many opportunities to help younger students as a tutor and cheerleader.
My belief is that students need to be able to relate what they learn to real life situations to have the opportunity to determine how they would make decisions and what they would base their assessments on. Business acumen is something you develop, and I wish to share this important trait with students to complete the circle of their overall development.
I enjoy teaching others based on how they learn and believe we should allow for individual methods so that the application of learning can be grasped on a more equitable basis. My children and others I have tutored each learned differently, and I strive to recognize that in my students.
I have earned an A.A.S. in Applied Data Science from the Community College of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC and I have complete all but 4 courses in M.B.A. work through LSU Online Shreveport, LA.
As a side interest I also enjoy writing and am adept in K-12 grammar and ELA subjects. I can teach just about any business course from Organizational Human Resources to Manufacturing Operations, to e-Commerce and related concepts of supply & demand, warehousing and logistics. I also enjoy teaching English and History as well as Business Statistics, Basic Accounting and Personal Finance.
I currently live in South Carolina and enjoy DIY home improvement, auto repair, woodworking, and forestry.
