I am a recent master's graduate from Northeastern University with a lot of experience working in the industry from biotech startups and diagnostics labs to hospitals. As you may have guessed, I have a strong background in science, primarily in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, and all things cells!

My role as a tutor started back when I would help my friend understand certain Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry concepts will we studied. Eventually, I would begin volunteer tutoring here and there, and not only did it help me further retain the information I had learned, but a way to apply it beneficially to help others grow.

I know how challenging it can be to grasp certain concepts in these areas, especially when you want to truly understand them. Tutoring and office hours helped me greatly during these difficulties, and now I am committed to providing the same help to all students in many different subjects. These include elementary and middle school science and mathematics.

One great TA I had, at the end of a tutoring session, would have me "teach" her the concept she was helping me with. I find this method very useful, especially when learning about complicated cellular mechanisms or other biological processes. One of my goals is that students will not just memorize the information for a test, but have it engrained in them so this method is a great way to accomplish that.

But my primary goal is to help and support students throughout their academic journies overcoming the many similar difficulties that all students, including myself, have had by providing quality help and guidance in the many science subjects there are.
