In 2023 I graduated with a BA in English from Shenandoah University, and I am currently taking graduate courses in French, Spanish, and Art History in preparation for coursework in Medieval and Renaissance Literature. I have two years of tutoring experience with all ages, but I was formally trained to tutor in a writing center, so the minimalist style of tutoring and Socratic philosophy has always been my go-to approach. I love tutoring using a minimalist method because it engages students and helps build their skills alongside confidence in their work. Tutoring in writing and literature has always been particularly rewarding because I get to experience students finding their unique writer's voice while helping them express their ideas with clarity and eloquence. I believe that everyone has their own way of learning and achieving greatness. By tailoring tutoring strategies to fit a student's interests and needs, I hope to teach academic material while also instilling a lifelong curiosity and desire for knowledge. During my free time, I enjoy reading, going to my local theater, cooking, and pet sitting.
