Hello! I am recent graduate of Columbia University in the City of New York, where I majored in American Studies and my free time at the great WKCR radio station. After graduation, I worked in the Archives Center of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, DC. While I have worked with students in Math, History, and Music, I particularly enjoy working on writing because it feels so satisfying to compose and read a well-written essay. I was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD as a child, and have worked hard building skills and habits to help me succeed in difficult academic and professional settings.

I believe that patience and listening are crucial to being a good tutor, and that it is always important to give students a sense of ownership and control of the work that they are doing. In my free time, I enjoy playing jazz and bluegrass guitar, watching baseball, and going for runs.
