I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe that education is the key to unlocking a child's potential. My five years of full-time classroom experience, teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade, have solidified my belief that every child has the ability to succeed when given the right tools, support, and encouragement. I offer support in reading, writing, math, and beginner's ukulele. While I enjoy tutoring all subjects, math holds a special place for me because it allows students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for their future success. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a student-centered environment that fosters growth mindsets, critical thinking, and cultural responsiveness. I believe in the importance of community building, where students feel safe, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. My tutoring style is interactive and tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, incorporating differentiation techniques to support English Learners, special education students, and those requiring additional academic and behavioral support.
