I've always been passionate about healthcare, especially in the area of mental health, and I love helping others grow in this field. There's something incredibly rewarding about guiding students as they prepare to step into their careers with confidence. I believe that each student's path is unique, so I strive to meet them where they are and tailor my approach to fit their individual needs.

Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of mentoring and tutoring in different roles, from being a graduate assistant to receiving the Preceptor of the Year award for supporting new nurses. Nursing mental health is my favorite subject to teach, but I'm always excited to help in any area where students need a little extra support.

Outside of work, I'm a big sports fan especially baseball and I love collecting sports memorabilia. I also enjoy spending time with my two long-haired miniature dachshunds and experimenting in the kitchen, where cooking has become one of my favorite creative outlets. As I work towards my master's degree to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I'm eager to share my experiences and help others succeed in their healthcare journeys.
