In my high school experience, being in a bigger class meant sometimes I didn't get the help I needed. Not everyone learns at the same pace, and some learn through different methods. I'm someone who gained a lot from individual and interactive environments. Specifically, tutors helped me work through difficult concepts I was struggling with. It was more effective - in my case, compared to distracting classrooms, and teachers who paid little attention. As a tutor, I want to give students as much opportunity and freedom to learn as possible, while developing confidence in their work and ability as a learner. For me, going to the tutor helped me feel good about - not only what I was learning, but about myself and the idea I could develop these skills. I want to help someone else feel the same about themselves and their work.
