I am a general and adpated physical educator with a passion for teaching and coaching children. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science From the University of Texas at Arlington; and graduated from Texas Woman's University in August of 2023 with my Master's Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Education. I currently hold a standared teacher certification on Physical Education and have earned my certificate to be an adpated physical educator. I have had an interest in physical activity since I was young and have been involved in multiple sports as a child and adult. I played competitive soccer as a child and young adult; and currently enjoy powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting in my spare time. I aspire to teach these liftetime skills and knowledge to my students and children, so they develop habits for maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. As a teacher, as well as a mother and wife, I have developed leadership, time management, and probelm-solving skills, along with a love for teaching children of all abilities. I enjoy being challenged and using my problem-solving skills to address the situation. As an educator, my goal is to create a positive learning environment that supports each child and addresses their individual needs. Being a role model for physically literate children and creating a safe place where students feel welcome and valued is key to their success!
