Hello! My name is Ricky, and I am thrilled to offer my tutoring services on this platform. With a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the prestigious Georgia Institute of Technology, I have honed my skills in a range of mathematical disciplines, including calculus, algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, differential equations, linear algebra, SAT math, and ACT math. Georgia Tech allowed those who have earned an A in a course to be tutors to other students at the Center Academic Success. I tutored several students in calculus 1, calculus 2, and various engineering courses. My approach to tutoring focuses on initially establishing the necessary thought processes needed to fully grasp the concept at hand. I do this by giving real world examples to help my students gain perspective. Where I feel like I differ from most tutors, is that I like to put an emphasis on teaching test preparation techniques. Learning the material is very important of course, but it's important not to overlook test preparation. Preparing for a timed exam requires intentional planning days if not weeks in advance of the exam date. Implementing a structured test prep routine was the single biggest contributor to my success as a student in college, and I would love nothing more than to share my knowledge with you!
