I am passionate about helping students because I believe in education's profound impact on an individual's life. Witnessing students understand new concepts and gain confidence in their abilities is incredibly fulfilling. I have taught swim lessons for four years to children and adults of all ages, giving me a solid foundation in teaching and mentoring. Additionally, I have a couple of months of experience tutoring high school students in math, specifically algebra. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to communicate effectively and adapt my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of my students. I am pursuing my Bachelor's in Mathematics at Saint Louis University. My academic journey has given me a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra and calculus. I enjoy algebra because it lays the groundwork for all higher-level mathematics and helps students develop critical problem-solving skills. On the other hand, Calculus fascinates me with its ability to explain change and motion through mathematical principles. Assisting students to grasp these complex concepts and grow their confidence as they master them is incredibly rewarding. My teaching philosophy is centered on patience and adaptability. To my mind, every student is capable of studying and succeeding. I find it useful to break down elaborate issues into pieces that can be understood by learners and illustrate them using real-life scenarios. My greatest wish is to establish a positive learning environment in which students can ask questions freely and even make mistakes without any fear.
