I am a graduate of New College of Florida: The Honors College of Florida. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and English with a secondary concentration in Rhetoric and Writing. Since graduating, I have relocated to Virginia, where I am currently working towards earning my English Language Arts Teaching License. I have worked as a teacher or tutor for 7 years, teaching wide arrays of subjects, including: Team Building and Trust; First Aid and Wilderness Survival; and Writing and Storytelling. I am trained as a generalist writing tutor, and can support any type of writing from lab reports to literature reviews to resumes. If you have a piece of writing, come chat with me. I am passionate about supporting students in developing their voice and in becoming confident writers. I am a firm advocate of students asking for help, and I believing that all students should have access to the help they deserve.

Hobbies

I am an avid reader, with Epic Fantasy being my favorite genre (think J.R.R. Tolkien, Christopher Paolini, and V.E. Schwab). My current favorite book is "Turtles All the Way Down" by John Green, which is a great representation of what's it's actually like to live with mental illness. On the weekends, I enjoy walking my dog in the Appalachian woods, looking to discover the secrets nature has to hide. My go to hangout is a board game night; whether I'm playing "Monopoly", "Clue", "Rhett and Link's We're Still Good", or "Dungeons and Dragons", I enjoy the companionship built by tabletop games.
