Hi! My name is Amara. I have been teaching mathematics for 16 years with a degree in Chemical Engineering. I have taught mathematics in multiple states over 5 states and internationally. I have a deep passion for teaching mathematics. I love building my students' confidence, and understanding, and improving their grades. Additionally, I have trained and coached other math teachers for 10 years of my career. This allows me to understand how each grade level supports the next.

I have worked with students from grades 5-12. The majority of my experience is middle school (6-8) and Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and ACT math.

With my experience and content knowledge, I understand how to teach both grade-level and foundational skills to students simultaneously. As a teacher, I lead 95% of my students to meet or exceed state proficiency requirements. Most of my students were not on grade level entering my class but were by the end of the year.
