A native Russian speaker, an MA in teaching academic Russian and Literature from the Pedagogical Institute in Russia, and a certified teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language, I bring knowledge and enthusiasm to every lesson. I was born, lived, studied, and worked in Russia as a tutor of academic Russian and a proofreader of the local enterprise newspaper. After moving to the USA, I worked as a Russian linguist, transcriber, and proofreader. I'm highly experienced in teaching Russian to students of different ages and levels (children and adults), from beginners to advanced, online and in-person. Besides tutoring, I worked three wonderful years as a Teacher of Russian as a foreign language for the students of Grades 1 through 8 at the Waldorf School, and also worked 4 years as a volunteer Russian teacher at the local church.
Now I focus on online teaching and enjoy seeing students' progress from beginners to fluent speakers.
Teaching Russian isn't just my job it's my passion! I'm dedicated to making learning Russian a fun and rewarding experience. I use engaging materials, including authentic resources, interactive exercises, games, and colorful visuals. I simplify grammar to make it easy to understand and tailor my lessons to fit each student's unique needs, learning styles, and interests.
