I have a Bachelor's in English, a Master's in Instructional Leadership (the degree to be a school principal), and a Master's in Information Science (Library degree). In addition to English, SPED, and Library, I have also been certified in 6-12 Social Studies. Although my "expertise" is in English, I have tutored in Math, taught Test Prep, and been Social Studies Certified.

I have been an educator for over 15 years. If I include my beginnings tutoring Algebra and Geometry, I have been an educator for almost 30 years. I have taught 9-12 English both Regular and Special Education and K-5 Library where I also taught ELA. I have been a special educator and worked with students from all backgrounds and ability levels-rural, urban, under served, Title I, and private. Tutoring offers me a way to give students more individualized instruction and helps to develop the relationships necessary for successful academic achievement and outcomes.

I am detailed and self- motivated when presented with challenges, especially those requiring technical research skills. I have strong instructional skills with experience in teaching both asynchronous and synchronous distance learners.
