As a strong believer in lifelong learning, my philosophy behind teaching is simple: make learning accessible and enjoyable. This is an attitude I have brought to every aspect of my extremely diverse professional life.

I hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic technology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. During my nearly 12-year career as a radiologic technologist, I trained and mentored dozens of adult and young adult clinical students, preparing them reach their full potential in their future careers.

After transitioning from healthcare to professional photography and freelance writing, I brought the same attitude of accessible learning to a world-wide audience through my work with the photo-education website Contrastly, where I was a co-founder.

While at Contrastly, I authored three eBooks on digital photographic post-processing and technique with one of those texts (Lightroom Mastery) still widely considered the definitive text on the usage of Adobe Lightroom Classic. I also produced/hosted an extensive video course on the in-depth operation of Lightroom as well.

Currently, I mentor photographers and writers of all backgrounds and skill levels and am excited to share my knowledge here as part of the Varsity Tutors team.
In addition to my high level of expertise I also strive to bring an approachable and unpretentious attitude to any subject I happen to be teaching.
