I graduated summa cum laude from University of North Georgia with a dual B.A. in East Asian Studies and Chinese for Global Professionals. I also completed the Chinese Flagship Program and the Capstone year in Taipei. I am Flagship certified with Distinction, having attained a Superior level on the ACTFL scale in speaking, listening, and reading.
I have a passion for learning languages and would love to share them with you! I have experience tutoring Japanese and Chinese at the college level and would be happy to help tutor, whether for an AP class, testing, or even more accelerated independent study. Due to years of personal study, not only can I help you confront challenging topics, I also have lots of techniques and resources to share. Language learning should be fun and natural!

Hobbies

I love everything under the sun. Particularly interesting to me is language, of course, but communication is at the core. As such, I love engaging in different art forms which help me communicate, such as songwriting and drawing. I also love to exercise to reduce stress. For instance, my profile picture shows me at the end of a 450+ km bike ride from the northernmost point to the southernmost point along the east coast of Taiwan. It was a great experience, since it involved language, good food, beautiful scenery, challenges, and biking! I like being able to do a lot of things like that.
