I am a graduate of Augusta State University and The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I received my BS in chemistry with a biochemistry focus and my PhD in organic chemistry.

When I was in undergrad, I worked as many as three jobs while going to school full time. I remember thinking "man if I just had a little more help, this would probably be a little easier for me."

I eventually found that help from the professors that were around me once they got to know me and my story. That experience was something that I wanted to pass on to other people who might need help with things and that is why I am passionate about helping you, the student.

I know what it feels like to sit on your side and be lost and frustrated. I also know that if I made it through, so can you.

I'm not the typical chemistry goo-roo. I want to make learning fun and approachable for *you* and your goals.

I love chemistry and teaching it, but that doesn't mean you have to. I'm here to help you learn it to a level that helps you accomplish your goals. If you end up loving it afterward, great!

If not, that's fine. That's not the goal of me tutoring you. The goal is for you to get the grades you want so you can do the things you want.

I have massive amounts of teaching experience at the collegiate level in all of these subjects. I also run my own lab that does research in organic and biochemistry so it is something that I interact with on a daily basis outside of the classroom.

When it comes to how I teach, I'm not here to give you then answers, I'm here to bring them out of you. I will ask questions to help you think about why the answers are correct. Often times in chemistry, answers follow specific patterns.

If you learn the patterns, you don't have to memorize questions and answers.

That is what my teaching style will help you do so that you never feel helplessly stuck on a test ever again.
