I like to have fun! I enjoy learning in a space where we can incorporate creativity and freedom and I find that my students are always teaching me new ways to learn and see things.

I lean on a peer-to-peer relationship with my students in order to build trust and honest communication. I feel that the impression we make on kids of all ages is so important for their development and the way they view themselves in society. So, I am passionate about leaving a positive impact on students in order for them to feel more confident and prepared when tackling both academic and personal challenges on their own.

First thing's first, I want to understand where we are at in the learning process and what our goals for the student are. I also believe it is important for my students to set S.M.A.R.T goals for what they want to achieve, so that we can work towards tangible results.

Throughout our time together, we will build tool-kits that work for them and I'll be providing a lot of positive reinforcement along the way! I like to encourage students to focus on the accomplishments they've made along the journey, not just on the aspects they do not know or feel confident in doing yet.

In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, we tend to put an immense amount of pressure on how much we're "supposed" to be doing and sometimes forget that we are just human beings trying to live a fulfilling life. So, I'll be reminding my students to give themselves grace when things get hard, trust the process, and believe in their abilities so that they can grow their potential.

A little about me! I grew up in the Seattle area and obtained my AA degree in Communications at Shoreline Community College. Then, I earned my BA degree in Acting for Film at the Seattle Film Institute. So, you might be able to tell that I love being creative!

I currently work as a commercial, film and voice over actress. I also stay active by doing a lot of hot yoga, as well as other various gym activities. I enjoy making posters and artistic graphic designs. I get up on stage and do improv in downtown Seattle. I read books on self-guidance and put up clips on my social media. I have two, awesome little chihuahuas that make my life fun. I cook great food (and that's not just my opinion). And I enjoy attending UW Husky football games and Seattle Mariners baseball games with my loving and supportive boyfriend, Tim.
