I am a recent graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Exercise Sciences and minors in Business and Chinese Studies. I am now a doctorate student in a physical therapy program. I also have spent two years living in Hong Kong, where I learned to speak fluent Cantonese and came to love the culture and people there as well. I began teaching in Hong Kong, starting with teaching English. Later, I taught Cantonese here in America, and have since tutored and taught Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Calculus, and lots of Anatomy and Physiology. Most recently, I have been a Teaching Assistant for an Advanced Human Physiology class at BYU. I love teaching because it is so enjoyable to me to see students progress and start to put the pieces together; in my experience, almost everyone can understand any subject at a high level if their teacher is explaining material in a way that works for the student, and I feel like one of my strengths as a tutor is understanding how to present information in the way that works best for you while having fun doing it! I rely a lot on practice problems, and sometimes will let you struggle for a bit on your own - but I will always come help and figure things out together. In my free time, I love to play basketball and soccer, read a good book, or take care of my many plants. I'm excited to meet and get to know you!
