Being a tutor is something I am passionate about because I have been in the position of a student needing a tutor. I believe a student can do anything they want to accomplish. I specialize in children with learning disabilities, first-generation college students, and those who thrive in an interactive learning environment. Knowledge is the most valuable thing on this planet, yet it is not tangible. The beauty of this is; no one can take it away from you. There are no wrong questions. Never stop learning. Reading, literature, and composition will always be my first love. It is my favorite topic to teach. Biology is something that I found myself needing to know. So I completely immersed myself in it. Along with this I honed and developed my test-taking skills and study skills. A lot of academic success comes down to taking an exam, I like to better prepare students for these exams. Confidence is key, so I teach students the confidence they need to succeed. I strive to create a comfortable environment for my students, all questions are welcome. I am a certified nursing assistant on top of my other degrees. I enjoy teaching this topic as well. I like to keep an open line of communication between me and the student or care taker to be sure we are both prepared for the session so we can make every minute count! Let's get learning!
