I am a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University. I received my Master of Arts in English & Creative Writing with a focus on fiction writing. Since graduation, I have tutored elementary and undergraduate college students assisting them with parts of speech, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing various types of academic papers. I have taught at three different colleges, including Bryant & Stratton College and Niagara County Community College, and I am currently teaching at Hajgden International College. I have taught various levels of English, including Pre-College English, Writing I, English Composition, and Advanced College Writing. I teach and assist undergraduate students with writing assignments, including discussion posts, cause and effect, and compare and contrast essays. I teach fundamental writing skills, including grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and MLA Citations. I also enjoy introducing works of literature to students to open their minds to different perspectives and make a text connection. I also enjoy teaching students the fiction fundamentals and literary devices to create their own literary analysis. In my experience helping struggling students improve their writing skills, we always seem to have the most fun with worksheets with grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation exercises. I also think my students understand how to write a paper better when I break down the paragraph structure for each writing style. I firmly believe that education enriches our lives. Education prepares us for our future, and it's crucial for growth and development: that is why I'm committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment with the ideals of emergent curriculum design, Chickering's "Seven Principles for Good Practice to the Online Classroom," and Bloom's Taxonomy. My goal is to expand my student's comprehension of their world in ways that require strengthening their transferable skills of critical thinking, clear and persuasive writing, mindful reading, and collaborating with peers creatively. I have always wanted to become a teacher because of my passion for teaching and helping others. I love sharing my education and experiences to help my students.
