I am an undergraduate at the University of Edinburgh, working towards a degree in History and Classics. My primary focus in Classics is Latin, but I also take courses in ancient Roman and Greek history, while my education in History is much wider, having studied periods ranging from the Medieval period to modern times. Latin literature is what I am most enthusiastic about, and I also like to spend time focusing on the language, looking at finer grammatical points and also the similarities between Latin and the modern English language. History is something that piqued my interest at a young age. I am eager not to tie myself down to one period, but my particular interests at the moment are in sixteenth century history, as well as social and religious history more broadly.
I am passionate not only about my subjects themselves, but also instilling my love of them into my tutees. I am a firm believer that there is not a 'one size fits all' approach to education, and that every student has their own method of learning that works for them. And so, I endeavour to help students achieve their best by finding out what they respond well to and tailoring my sessions to their individual needs.
