I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design with marketing from the University of East London, and a Teaching Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) from Croydon College. Currently, I am studying for TESOL. Teaching English is something I enjoy and find fulfilling, having taught over 50 students in the past 18 years. I have taught in different settings, including privately, also in an English-speaking school, and with a company. My teaching experience covers a broad range of skills, including pronunciation, vocabulary, conversational English, reading, grammar, games, role-play, and exam preparation.
Teaching English as a foreign language is a passion of mine, but I have also tutored other subjects like fashion design and clothes making. I believe in giving each student individual attention and support by understanding their strengths, interests, and challenges. To achieve this, I use a variety of teaching styles and techniques to help my students. I employ visual aids and online resources to make the learning experience fun and engaging while providing continuous feedback on how the student is doing and adjusting the lessons accordingly.
As a teacher, I understand the importance of taking the student's cultural background into consideration. I incorporate cultural topics into the lessons to promote cross-cultural understanding. I firmly believe that by understanding the student's culture, I can provide a better learning experience that is tailored to their needs.
