I'm a history and politics student at the University of Cambridge from a small town called St Helens, in between Manchester and Liverpool. My passion for history and politics has followed me all the way from high school to university and I have a particular love for American history and politics. I am currently writing my dissertation on the American Civil War and its important impact on the American political system. I also have a passion for literature and reading, with my favourite author being George Orwell by far.

I think tutoring has to be about the individual first and foremost, so I aim to be a friendly and approachable teacher in order to make our sessions as productive as possible. In short, I'd describe my teaching style as 'there is no such thing as a stupid question', personified. I believe in the importance of confidence in building understanding and I aim to facilitate that as much as I can.
