I love working with students and seeing the moment when the "light bulb" turns on. With over 17 years of experience as an educator, few things bring me greater joy than watching students grow in confidence and skill. I earned my B.A. in Music and M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership from Claflin University, a private HBCU in my hometown of Orangeburg, SC. My journey in education has taken many formsfrom classroom teacher to private lesson instructor, educational consultant, and now, entrepreneur.

I specialize in instrumental music tutoring, especially clarinet and other band instruments, and I'm deeply passionate about helping students unlock their musical potential. Math is my second love, and I also support students in foundational math skills, test preparation, and college-level placement exams. My experience extends to helping aspiring teachers pass certification exams, contributing to a more empowered and prepared teaching workforce.

As a former educator of autistic children, I believe that all students are capable of learningwe just have to find the right way to reach them. I enjoy the challenge of exploring different strategies and teaching methods to discover what makes each student shine.

Outside the classroom, I'm a proud founder of MelodiousOne Studios, where I create immersive arts and academic experiences through music lessons, workshops, and educational resources. I'm also active in my community as a volunteer clarinetist and bass clarinetist, performing with several local ensembles. On weekends, you'll often find me spending quality time with family or winding down with my favorite crime dramas like NCIS or CSI.
