I am an experienced teacher for German, English and Russian.
I have worked for 16 years at Southend Adult Community College, Essex, and for 6 years online. I have a Master degree in German studies.
I have also worked with OCR for 2 years - as an exam editor.
I am a happy mother and my son is fluent in 3 languages.
My father was a journalist, we traveled a lot. I know how tough it is to learn a new language in order to be able to go to school and to have some sort of social life! Yes, very challenging, but possible! After some time I started considering myself as privileged , because I learned German, got familiar with a different educational system and made many new friends!
I offer help to children and adults, from Beginners to University. One of my students, who started with me from scratch, studies now Russian at Selwyn College Cambridge. I am very proud of her!
My favorite case in my teaching career was when at the very first meeting one teenager declared " I absolutely hate English! " that was tough! I introduced lots of activities and by the end of the month when I needed to go back to the UK he whispered " I love English and will study it properly " - THAT was invaluable to me as a teacher! Thank you, dear Z., now I know- miracles happen.
I perform one to one tuition, a group, personal or online teaching. Flexible schedule and individual approach. For example: I can create a crash course for skiers or bankers. I like discussing multifaceted topics , embedding a wide range of humanitarian subjects like History, Literacy and Arts.
I also like teaching specific language, used in Biology, Chemistry or Geography.
