I graduated from the University of Houston Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Marketing, additionally I graduated with Magma Cum Laude honors. During my senior year of undergraduate I was a biology tutor for incoming freshman and sophomore's at the University of Houston. This opportunity showed how much of a positive impact my tutoring can have on other students lives. Them telling me how my lessons helped them understand the content at a higher level and improved their performance in class is what continues to motivate me to be an adept tutor. Since graduation I have been working as a Lab Assistant that conducts medical studies as well as working my way to medical school. Although Biology is the subject I am most passionate about I tutor wide range of subjects such as chemistry, physics, algebra, and biochemistry. I took courses for these subjects in University. Additionally preparing for medical school and studying for the MCAT has kept my knowledge on these topics proficient. I am a firm believer a quality educator can make all the difference to one's affinity towards a subject and career. My lessons have more of a conversational approach versus a lecture approach. I believe talking through the content and explaining the content to each other is a more efficient way to learn than just listening to me for an hour. This style makes it transparent the content my students do and do not understand, allowing me to know which areas to focus on more.
