I have been an educator in a traditional classroom for 5+ years. My goal is to make English and Writing engaging, relatable and applicable to the real world. I have worked in high schools for 5 years and have been teaching middle school since August. I have primarily worked with students not meeting benchmarks in reading and writing for their grade level, and have had a lot of success helping students close those gaps. Additionally, I have taught ACT prep classes and got a 28 on my ACT, earning a 33 on grammar and a 31 on the reading comprehension portion. I would love to help your student show growth and remind them that learning can be fun while also helping them feel accomplished.
