I love tutoring because for me I want to be the role model for students like me who had no one around them as passionate about a subject as they were. I think it is important to nurture a students academic interest outside of a school setting in order to succeed.

My experience working with students previously has been great, it was always a team effort to work with my students to help them achieve their goals. I graduated with my Hons.Bsc degree in Biology from York University. I am currently pursuing my masters in microbiology at the University of Florida. The subjects I tutor are general science with a focus on biology. I love to tutor biology because even though there is a right answer to a question there is also room for other ideas. Biological sciences allows you to come up with a lot of ideas and a lot of discoveries in biology came from accidents. I also tutor in math, reading, and writing skills.

The way I like to teach is by understanding my students gaps in their subject knowledge, from there I work with them to build a solid foundation to get them to where they need to go. Teaching is a collaborative effort and it is important to know what the students hope to achieve.

Outside of academia I enjoy reading and learning about the skincare industry.
